Below are images I shot of the total lunar eclipse of February 20, 2008. The Moon began to pass into the umbra at 7:43 p.m. CST and there were 52 minutes of totality. The Moon exited the umbra at 11:09 p.m. CST. I was able to get several shots between the clouds that insisted on getting in the way. I used a Canon PowerShot S50 digital camera and a 90mm Meade ETX Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope with 26mm and 32mm eyepieces. The camera was hand-held to the telescope for the first three shots using a technique called digiscoping. The fourth shot was done by simply tripod mounting the S50.
