Venus at Greatest Eastern Elongation
The planet Venus reaches greatest eastern elongation of 47 degrees from the Sun. This is the best time to view Venus since it will be at its highest point above the horizon in the evening sky. Look for the bright planet in the western sky after sunset.
Venus at highest altitude in morning sky
Venus will reach its highest point in the sky as seen from North Texas in its 2022 morning apparition. It will be shining brightly at mag -4.4. Venus will reach a peak altitude of 27° above the horizon at sunrise on Feb. 21, 2022.
