Leonids Meteor Shower
November 17, 2023
The Leonid shower is produced by dust grains left behind by comet Tempel-Tuttle. It peaks this year on the night of the 17th and morning of the 18th. Meteors will radiate from the constellation Leo, but can appear anywhere in the sky. This shower produces about 15 meteors an hour on average. The moon will be about 23 percent full during the peak.
