The images were stacking up! Okay, well they weren’t coming out of my ears or anything like that but I quickly determined that I needed a page on this site to make my deep sky astrophotography images available to those who wish the view them. So I did just that. There is now an appropriately named Deep Sky Images page that can be found under the the Astrophotography menu heading on this site. There you can see all the deep sky images that I’ve posted thus far.
Additionally, I do have a free account on Astrobin.com which allows me to post 10 images. So I plan to not only post my latest images there as well but keep a running tally of my best images there too.
Astrobin is a fantastic site that not only allows you to post your astro images but smartly requests and displays image information such as the gear used (telescope, imaging camera, guide scope and camera, accessories, etc.) as well as important image acquisition information like number of subs, exposure length, ISO settings to moon age at the time the image was shot, celestial coordinates of the object and sky map showing the objects location. The site even goes on to provide the location where the image was shot should the photographer provide those details. So a wealth of information is brought together and made available for the viewer, and it’s all on the same page. Click here to view my Astrobin site.
So be on the look out for more deep space images coming soon on this site as I have time to shoot and process them. I’ll then upload them to the aforementioned page as well as posting about them on my Facebook Group page. So be sure to visit that page and request to be a member if you aren’t one already.
This is probably a good time to remind folks like you that you can also sign up for a monthly email update. I won’t and don’t spam you with constant emails but once a month I do send out a “what’s new” email detailing what’s new on the blog. Sign up here, and thanks for visiting and reading.
Clear skies!
