Partial Solar Eclipse

March 29, 2025

A partial solar eclipse occurs when the Moon covers only a part of the Sun. A partial solar eclipse can only be safely observed with a solar filter. This partial eclipse will be visible throughout Greenland and most of northern Europe. It will not be visible for most of North America but those in the northeastern United States and Canada will be able see it. The eclipse is in progress as the Sun rises on March 29th for those in the northeastern part of the U.S.
