SUMMARY:Crescent Moon\, Mars & Pleiades Converge
DESCRIPTION:Early on the morning of July 11\, 2026 wake up early to see an amazing sight rising in the eastern morning sky. The Pleiades open star cluster (M45) the crescent Moon\, red Mars and the bright orangish star Aldebaran in Taurus will be putting on a fantastic show together. Uranus will be in the mix too but you’ll need binoculars or a telescope to see it.  The best time to look will be about an hour before sunrise or about 5:15 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. CDT for those in the DFW area.

SUMMARY:Mars & Jupiter Conjunction
DESCRIPTION:Rising around midnight on Nov. 16th Mars and Jupiter will be nicely placed in Leo jut above “the heart of the Lion” bright Regulus. They will get higher in the sky together as the night progresses making for an amazing sight high in the south around 6 a.m. just before sunrise. Additionally\, if you are up early to see this pair be sure not to miss brilliant Venus with speedy Mercury below it in the eastern sky.  Venus will be very close to the brightest star in Virgo\, Spica.
